Lewis Gurney, Jonathan Wynn, Noel Grant and Gary Davey confirmed their spots in next month’s Cazoo UK Open, after winning through last weekend’s final Rileys Amateur Qualifiers.
The Cazoo UK Open, which will be held from March 3-5 at Butlin's Minehead Resort, will see 160 players battling it out for the £110,000 top prize in the first televised ranking event of the 2023 season.
A total of 16 Amateur Qualifiers will join the sport's biggest names for the three-day festival of darts, with the final four players sealing their spots on February 18-19.
Development Tour star Gurney will make his Cazoo UK Open debut on March 3, demolishing Jack Male 5-1 to prevail in Saturday’s Rileys Chester Qualifier.
Wynn will also make his big stage bow next month, after claiming the spoils in Sunday’s Rileys Amateur Qualifier in Norwich.
The 41-year-old – a former Qualifying School entrant – whitewashed Gary Knott 5-0 in the final to secure a spot in his maiden PDC televised event.
Elsewhere, Grant – who featured in the 2010 UK Open – will return following a 13-year hiatus, having celebrated success in the Riley’s Coventry event.
Grant, a former World Masters qualifier, breezed past James Young in Sunday’s showpiece to confirm his big stage comeback.
Meanwhile, Davey completed this year’s list of Amateur Qualifiers after coming through Sunday’s Liverpool event, edging out three-time UK Open participant Joey Palfreyman in a deciding-leg tussle.
