Chinese Win For Yanlai Shi

YANLAI SHI claimed victory in the fourth of ten events being staged on the PDC-affiliated circuit in China by defeating Weizhong Li in the final.

A field of 58 players took part in the tournament in Jinan on May 14, with the event being the first of four which will count in the race to win spots in June's Shanghai Darts Masters.

Shi was in superb form in the final as he dropped just one leg in a 3-1, 3-0 straight sets victory over Li, and he also won his semi-final against Bin Zheng in straight sets after being taken to a decider in the quarter-finals against Zijian Li.

Shi was pushed all the way at the last 16 stage by Hailong Chen as their best of 11 leg clash went to a decider.

Li had beaten Momo Zhou, Bin Xu and Bin Ouyang - the Event Two winner in April - but was unable to go all the way in the decider.
