ROLAND SCHOLTEN will make his return to the PDC Pro Tour amongst over 100 players in the two Players Championship events to be held in Gibraltar this weekend.
Dutch star Scholten has not played since the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship last month due to his ongoing shoulder problems, with Carlos Rodriguez defeating him at Alexandra Palace.
He will compete in the two Stan James-sponsored Players Championship events at the Victoria Stadium on Saturday and Sunday.
Another Dutchman, Co Stompe, has withdrawn from the tournaments through illness.
Phil Taylor makes his first appearance since winning the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship when he competes in Gibraltar, while last weeks two PDC Pro Tour winners in Doncaster - Terry Jenkins and Colin Lloyd - are also in action.
Stan James have renamed Saturday's tournament the Eddie Cox Memorial Players Championship, in memory of the late PDC official, who passed away in December.
The field of 85 PDPA members is complemented by a series of direct entries and 16 qualifiers from Spain and Gibraltar, with the draws to be completed on the day under the new Players Championship guidelines.
Both tournaments will begin at midday local time, with all games the best of 11 legs.
