Good Morning Australia!

THE Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts is to be shown live in Australia on Fox Sports.

The 2010 Premier League Darts, which begins at The O2 in London on Thursday February 11, will feature Australian star Simon Whitlock - the first time the event has featured a player from Down Under.

Whitlock will begin his challenge in the event against Phil Taylor in a repeat of the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship final next month, and will also do battle with Raymond van Barneveld, James Wade, Terry Jenkins, Mervyn King, Ronnie Baxter and Adrian Lewis over the course of the 14 weeks.

Fox Sports will show the Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts live in Australia, from 6am each Friday morning for the 14 league nights.

The coverage follows their live screening of the World Championship final between Taylor and Whitlock, with Fox Sports also having taken highlights packages from major PDC events in recent years.

"This is a fantastic step forward for Australian darts," said DartPlayers Australia chairman Kevin Berlyn.

"Apart from this year's World Championship final, we have never had such a fantastic opportunity to follow our number one player live on the world stage."

Coverage of the Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts in the UK will be live on Sky Sports in High Definition every Thursday from 7pm-10pm, and can also be watched live in PDCtv for subscribers outside of the UK and Ireland.
