Hammer Hopeful Of Circus Return

ANDY HAMILTON is determined to win a return to the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship when he takes part in the PDPA Qualifiers.

Hamilton came through the qualifiers in Hull 12 months ago to win a place at the Circus Tavern.

He went on to reach the quarter-finals before being defeated by Bob Anderson, and hopes to go even better this year.

"Now I've been there I want to be there again," he told The Sentinel.

"It is a tremendous feeling to get up on that stage as I have the fighting spirit to thrive up there.

"Some people don't like the pressure of the big stage, but I can't wait to get back there as I don't feel pressure.

"I'm throwing well at the minute and looking forward to it all. I have been waiting for this weekend for months.

"I'm feeling so good that I'm not just looking to qualify, but feel I can go on and win the whole thing as I am throwing well and not scared of playing anyone.

"Against the top players I raise my game, and I can beat anyone on my day."
