FOLLOWING consultation with the PDPA, the two Players Championship events the PDC intend to stage in Leiden, Holland will now be postponed until later in 2008.
The PDC intend to introduce the two £20,000 tournaments to replace the Thialf Darts Trophy, which was recently cancelled.
However, due to the short notice ahead of the original planned dates of July 12 and 13, the PDC have now agreed to postpone the events and reschedule to allow players more notice to organise travel and entry.
Additionally, confirmation is still being waited on from the promoter of the Ireland Open Classic Players Championship on September 7 of where the venue is to be and so players are advised not to make travel arrangements for either event until further confirmation is provided by the end of the week.
