van Gerwen Odds-On With Betway

MICHAEL VAN GERWEN is the 4/7 favourite to win the Betway Premier League title going into Thursday's Play-Offs at The O2 in London.

The Dutchman secured the £25,000 League Leader's Bonus with his victory over Phil Taylor in last Thursday's final league night at Rotterdam Ahoy, meaning he has headed the standings for four successive seasons.

However, the 2013 Premier League champion has ended the tournament as runner-up in the past two years following defeats in the final to Raymond van Barneveld and Gary Anderson - a record he is looking to end in London next Thursday.

Van Gerwen faces two-time World Champion Adrian Lewis in the opening semi-final, and is both odds-on to win that match (2/11) and take home the coveted trophy as the 4/7 favourite.

Six-time Premier League champion Phil Taylor is the 7/2 second favourite, with World Champion Anderson rated 11/2 to retain the title and lift the Premier League trophy for a third time, with Lewis the 10/1 outsider going into the Play-Offs.
