FIVE players will compete for four places in the Betway Premier League Darts Play-Offs over the final two league nights in Newcastle and Brighton.
Thursday's Week 13 results at The NIA in Birmingham mean that Adrian Lewis and Dave Chisnall have joined Robert Thornton in being unable to reach the top four going into the final two league nights.
However, the battle for Play-Off places is still very much alive amongst the top five players in the table.
Joint leaders Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld sit on 20 points following 14 games, and have secured their places at The O2 in London in the Play-Offs on May 22 ahead of their all-Dutch battle in Newcastle.
They will be joined by two players from the trio of Phil Taylor - who has moved into a season's-best third place on 17 points - Peter Wright and Gary Anderson, the duo who sit a point adrift of the Stoke legend.
Wright's game with Taylor in Newcastle next Thursday is shaping up to be a key one in the battle for top-four spots, with the World Championship finalist then ending the season against van Gerwen at The Brighton Centre.
Anderson takes on Chisnall and van Barneveld in his final two games, while Taylor will meet Thornton on the final league night in Brighton.
The final two league nights will see four games played per night, with all eight players having doubled up over the past month since Judgement Night in Cardiff, where Wes Newton and Simon Whitlock were eliminated.
