Nicky Goodbrand, Robert Sutherland Jr and John Murdoch celebrated victories on the Winter Gardens stage in the 2025 WDDA World Matchplay finals in Blackpool on Sunday.
The diversity of darts as a sport was showcased once again in Blackpool, as the World Disability Darts Association hosted their World Matchplay finals at the Empress Ballroom for a fourth successive year.
Goodbrand marked her big stage debut with a 2-1 win over Kelly Devlin in the Ladies final, producing a superb 85 checkout in the decider to complete a comeback victory.
Teenage star Sutherland Jr then retained the WDDA World Matchplay Classic title with an emphatic 2-0 victory over Tony Rimmer, in a repeat of last year’s showpiece.
The Compris Final saw two big stage debutants go head-to-head, as Murdoch defeated Sammy McNicoll to triumph on the Blackpool stage, denying his opponent a dart at double in the process.
