Lourence Ilagan has become the latest player to confirm their qualification for the 2025 Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts.
Ilagan will make his Grand Slam of Darts return this November after clinching the PDC Asian Championship crown for the second consecutive year, beating Alexis Toylo 7-4 in Sunday’s showpiece.
Ilagan - who made his Grand Slam of Darts debut last year - exited in the Group Stage in Wolverhampton in November last year, as the Filipino will look to avenge last year’s disappointment on his WV Active return.
With the already-qualified Michael van Gerwen and Luke Littler being the finalists at the World Series of Darts Finals and with only the World Grand Prix and European Championship remaining for players to snatch automatic qualification, there will be a minimum of three spaces available for 2025 European Tour event winners in the field.
The finalists from PDC televised events over a 12-month period and additional qualifiers will make up to 24 places at this year’s Grand Slam, with 14 players now assured of their spot in the event.
Reigning champion Littler will headline the 32-player field, which also includes three-time winner Van Gerwen and world number one Luke Humphries – the Grand Slam champion in 2023.
2024 Grand Slam finalist Martin Lukeman, James Wade and Jonny Clayton qualify as runners-up in TV events, while World Youth Champion Gian van Veen and runner-up Jurjen van der Velde have also confirmed their qualification.
Lisa Ashton's Women's World Matchplay triumph sealed her Grand Slam return, while Beau Greaves is guaranteed to top the 2025 PDC Women's Series rankings.
They will be joined by winners of the 2025 Challenge Tour and Development Tour rankings and the CDC Continental Cup winner.
If the 24 places are not filled from Premier event winners, runners-up and additional qualifiers, winners from the 2025 PDC European Tour and Players Championship events could also secure Grand Slam spots.
A further eight players will also come through the PDC Tour Card Holder Qualifier on October 31, after which the 32-player field will be finalised.
The 2025 Grand Slam of Darts will be the last in the 32-player format before the tournament expands to feature 48 stars from next year.
