Sixth Form students at Brentwood School are pioneering a new Co-Curricular Darts Programme, which is the first timetabled weekly darts scheme in the UK.
The Essex school is operating 90-minute classes on Tuesday mornings which feature 18 Sixth Form students developing their darts skills.
The scheme will culminate in a Brentwood School Darts Championship, and has been backed by PDC President Barry Hearn - who will present the eventual champion with their trophy.
"I truly believe that this could be the start of something special," said Brentwood School Head of Darts Dave Wright.
"It has already created such a positive culture and hype in the school - the 'Luke Littler Effect' has transformed the game and inspired a generation.
"We only had space for 18 Sixth Form students, who are planning and leading the sessions themselves."
Wright - also a geography teacher at the school - has worked alongside Sixth Form students Jenson and Jack to launch the programme and to plan and deliver each session.
"We're doing things other schools could only dream of being able to do," said Jenson. "Brentwood Bullseyes are laying down the foundations for global darts in schools."
The PDC in the Community programme currently includes the award-winning Bullseye Maths scheme, which is aimed encouraging numeracy at all ages, particularly Key Stage 2. For more details, visit www.pdc.tv/maths.
