PDC Werner Rankings Ladder update after Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts

Luke Littler (Kieran Cleeves, PDC)

Luke Littler has become world number one on the PDC Werner Rankings Ladder following the successful defence of his Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts title.

Litter's victory over Danny Noppert in the semi-finals on Sunday - combined with the £3,500 bonus achieved from topping his group - confirmed the 18-year-old would become the new world number one after the event concluded.

The Warrington wonderkid, who replaced Luke Humphries at the summit of the world rankings, also defeated Humphries 16-11 in the final to win the Grand Slam and enlarge his gap over the now world number two.

Littler extended his winning run in Wolverhampton to 14 games, topping his group before blasting past Wessel Nijman and Josh Rock to reach the semi-finals.

Humphries’ reign at the apex of the PDC Werner Rankings Ladder lasted over 22 months, the fifth-longest reign at world number one in history.

Danny Noppert's stellar 2025 continued by making a fifth Premier event semi-final at the Grand Slam, shooting up to a joint-career-high seventh in the world and regaining the moniker of Dutch number two from compatriot Gian van Veen.

Noppert finished second in his group, before taking the scalps of three-time Grand Slam champion Michael van Gerwen and debutant Lukas Wenig before bowing out against Littler.

Wenig’s run to the quarter-finals before yielding to Noppert boosted him up to 63rd in the world and may prove pivotal in maintaining his Tour Card.

The 31-year-old topped his group ahead of Noppert and defeated fellow German rising star Niko Springer to reach the last eight.

Gerwyn Price has also returned to the top 10 thanks to a strong run to the semi-finals at the Grand Slam, narrowly falling to a 16-13 defeat to Humphries.

Price lost his opening group game to Ricky Evans, but recovered to win his group, before defeating Martin Schindler and enacting revenge on Evans to reach the semi-finals.
