THE 2016 PDC ProTour season concludes this weekend with the final two Players Championship events in Barnsley.
The pair of £75,000 tournaments are the last Players Championship events of the year, and will feature 128 players on each day.
Following Saturday's Players Championship 20, the leading 64 players from the Players Championship Order of Merit will progress to compete in the Cash Converters Players Championship Finals.
Qualifying places for the William Hill World Darts Championship through the ProTour Order of Merit are also up for grabs from the year's final standings.
Five-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld is amongst the players battling to secure a spot in the Players Championship Finals, sitting in joint 63rd place going into the final two events, with experienced rivals including Wayne Jones, Andy Hamilton, Andy Smith, Wes Newton and Paul Nicholson also still battling to qualify.
Michael van Gerwen will be the top seed in Minehead as he holds an unassailable lead at the top of the Players Championship Order of Merit, however with two £10,000 first prizes on offer there is still room for movement throughout the rankings.
The weekend in Barnsley will conclude with the Qualifiers for the Ladbrokes World Series of Darts Finals and SINGHA Beer Grand Slam of Darts on Sunday.
Eight spots in the Grand Slam of Darts will be available in that Qualifier for PDC Tour Card Holders and PDPA Associate Members (12pm start), with the World Series of Darts Finals Qualifier offering four spots for PDC Tour Card Holders when it is held later on Sunday.
