Jouannet Takes DFA Title

BARRY JOUANNET has won the DFA Australian Mens Singles title with a 6-1 defeat of Tasmania's Dave Methven over the weekend.

Jouannet produced a commanding performance in the final, averaging 28.13 per dart to become the 28th champion since the event began in 1964.

He included finishes of 116 and 101 on his way to a 5-0 lead and, although Methven pulled back a leg, Jouannet landed double top with his first shot to claim the title.
