2008 Blue Square UK Open Tickets

TICKETS for the 2008 Blue Square UK Open will go on sale on Tuesday 18 March, with a week of pre-sale for DartsTV annual subscribers.

The UK Open Televised Finals will be played from June 5-8 at the Reebok Stadium, Bolton and are screened live on Sky Sports.

The prize fund for the Televised Finals in 2008 has increased to £178,000 this year, and the Blue Square UK Open champion will walk off with £35,000 - with Raymond van Barneveld bidding to claim a third successive title.

The tournament begins on Thursday 5 June, when the players ranked from 65-96 (plus ties) from the Blue Square UK Open Order of Merit - following eight Regional Finals played by professionals - are joined by the 32 Holsten Qualifiers, who come from free-to-enter pub knockouts being held around the UK over the next month.

The Second Round, also played on Thursday, sees the survivors joined by the players ranked 33-64 in the Blue Square UK Open Order of Merit.

Friday's last 64 sees the Round Two winners joined by the top 32 from the Order of Merit, including van Barneveld, Phil Taylor, current UK Open Order of Merit leader James Wade and Colin Lloyd - the winner of the last two Regional Finals.

Saturday will feature the last 32 in the afternoon session, with the last 16 battling it out in the evening session.

In a new development for this year's Televised Finals, the Quarter-Finals will be played in their entirety on the main stage on Sunday afternoon, with the Semi-Finals and Final following in the evening.

A number of players inside the PDC's top 16 are facing a Thursday night start in this year's UK Open, Terry Jenkins, Wayne Mardle and Kevin Painter among those currently outside the top 32 of the UK Open Order of Merit with two Regional Finals remaining.

Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday 18 March, with an exclusive pre-sale period for DartsTV Subscribers, at a maximum of four tickets per person per session.

New subscribers during this period must wait until after midday on the day following their registration to order tickets.

Remaining tickets will go on general sale on Tuesday 25 March at 9.30am. Tickets on general sale will be limited to a maximum of six per person per session

Tickets can be purchased from the Bolton Wanderers Ticket Office on 0871 871 2932, or via ticketsales@bwfc.co.uk.

Please note that there is a £1.50 transaction fee per booking, which includes postage & packaging. Tickets will be dispatched no later than three weeks prior to the tournament.
