Premier League Sales Surge

TICKETS for the 2010 Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts continue to sell fast, a month away from the start of the event.

The Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts will begin on Thursday February 11 at The O2 in London, and will visit 14 arenas around the UK over the course of three months before the top four players return to the capital for the play-offs on May 23 at Wembley Arena.

Over 75 percent of all tickets have now been sold with a month to go before the event begins.

Table seats on the floor have sold out at all venues except for the Brighton Centre, NIA in Birmingham and AECC in Aberdeen, where only a handful of table seats remain.

Tiered seats are still available at all venues but many venues are closing on a sell-out, with over 4,000 tickets being sold per week at present.

Seven of the eight competitors in the Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts have now been confirmed, with Simon Whitlock last week announced as the first Sky Sports Wildcard, joining the world's top six players - Phil Taylor, Raymond van Barneveld, James Wade (pictured), Terry Jenkins, Mervyn King and Ronnie Baxter.

"Following the success of the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship recently we saw another jump in ticket sales for the Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts and are on course to break records once again in this year's event," said PDC Chairman Barry Hearn.

"We are expecting to welcome more than 80,000 fans throughout the course of this year's Premier League Darts - which would be an incredible milestone for the sport."

Tickets are priced at £30 for floor seats and £20 for tiered seating, plus any applicable booking fees.
