World Championship Ticket Boost

TICKETS for the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship final on Monday January 2 2012 have now sold out as sales for the sport's biggest tournament continue to soar.

The Ladbrokes World Darts Championship will begin on December 15 at Alexandra Palace in London, with 72 players from around the world competing for the prestigious title and £200,000 first prize.

Tickets have proven more popular than ever since tickets went on sale during June, with all floor table tickets now snapped up by fans who will flock to Alexandra Palace during 15 days across the festive perid.

The final on January 2 has now sold out, meaning that a capacity crowd will watch the World Champion crowned in the New Year, while the semi-finals on New Year's Day are also close to a sell-out.

"Alexandra Palace has grown into darts' most popular venue in the four years since the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship made its move there," said PDC Chairman Barry Hearn.

"We're delighted to have seen such an amazing response to ticket sales for this year's event, which are undoubtedly buoyed by the drama of the 2011 final when Adrian Lewis hit a nine-darter to defeat Gary Anderson.

"We have also had two perfect legs from Raymond van Barneveld and great wins for John Part and Phil Taylor at Alexandra Palace, giving it a special place in the heart of darts fans."

Only tiered seating now remains available for sessions other than the sold-out final, with tickets on sale through www.seetickets.com/darts or by calling 0844 871 8807 (calls cost 6p per minute from BT landline plus standard network charge).

Fans who have been unable to secure a ticket for a sold-out session can still purchase tickets through viagogo, the Official Ticket Exchange Partner of the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship - click here to visit the viagogo website for further information and availability.

Hospitality packages are available to watch the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship in style, including two-course meal, complimentary drinks and exclusive reserved seating, and can be purchased from the PDC Head Office on 08712 501 180.
