PDPA Qualifier Entries

THE PDPA Qualifier for the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship will be held on Monday November 28 at the Robin Park Tennis Centre.

The knockout event will see two players win through to complete the field of 72 players for the World Championsihp, which will be held from December 15-January 2 at Alexandra Palace in London.

The PDPA Qualifier winner will enter the World Championship in the first round, with the runner-up entering in the preliminary round.

A total of 91 players have entered the PDPA Qualifier, although with two Players Championships being held in Wigan on Saturday & Sunday players could still qualify through the main PDC Order of Merit or the Players Championship Order of Merit and not need to compete on Monday.

The top 32 players from the PDC Order of Merit, following Sunday's Players Championship, will qualify by right for the World Championship and be seeded in Tuesday's draw, with the 16 leading non-qualified players from the Players Championship Order of Merit joining them at Alexandra Palace.

The field of entries in Wigan includes former World Champions Dennis Priestley and Jelle Klaasen, previous World Championship finalists Kirk Shepherd, Mark Dudbridge & Peter Manley as well as former semi-finalists Wayne Mardle & Andy Jenkins.

Play in the PDPA Qualifier will commence at 12pm, with the draw being made at 11am following the close of registration. The top 16 players from the PDC Order of Merit who are competing will be seeded, and all games are the best of nine legs.

Prize money will be awarded to the losing semi-finalists (£1,000 each) and losing quarter-finalists (£250 each) by the PDPA. This prize money will not count on the PDC Order of Merit.
