Rileys Qualifiers Proving Popular

ENTRIES for the Rileys Qualifiers for the Speedy Services UK Open are proving popular as the knockout events draw nearer.

Aspiring amateur darts players will be able to win a place in the Speedy Services UK Open through the Rileys Qualifiers, which will be played in April and May in Rileys Darts Zones across the UK.

Players can win one of 32 spots competing alongside the biggest names in darts in the Speedy Services UK Open, which is unique for its multi-board format in the televised finals in Bolton from June 7-10.

Nicknamed 'The FA Cup of Darts', the tournament uses an open draw format, meaning that amateur qualifiers could even take on the top names in darts, such as reigning champion James Wade or former winners Phil Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld.

Whilst professionals compete in eight £35,000 Qualifiers in a bid to be amongst the top 96 players (plus ties) from the UK Open Order of Merit to earn a place in Bolton, the Speedy Qualifiers and Rileys Qualifiers will each produce 32 amateur players.

For the Riley's Qualifiers, knockout events will be held in Rileys Darts Zones around the UK during April and May, with each of 32 tournaments producing one winner who will progress to compete in Bolton.

Entry costs £6 per player per event, and players will be allowed to enter more than one knockout. Entry is available via the Rileys website and closes at 12pm on Friday April 13.
