PAUL AMOS, Michael Wiles, Thomas Sandwell and Dave Solly were the four Dartford qualifiers for the Speedy Services UK Open on Thursday.
Amos, who competed in the inaugural UK Open in 2003, will return to compete in the televised finals in Bolton in June after being one of the four winners from the Speedy Qualifier at the sponsors' Dartford store.
Amos produced one of the eight best scores from 15 darts in the first phase of the qualifier, before winning a knockout leg of 701 to earn his place in Bolton.
He was joined in qualifying to play in the UK Open by Thomas Sandwell, Dave Solly - who was a quarter-finalist in the 1997 News of the World championship which was won by Phil Taylor - and Witham's Michael Wiles, a former Pairs partner of Kevin Painter.
"I hope to do well in Bolton," said Wiles. "It could be the launchpad to kick start everything for me. It was a bit nervy up there playing with so much at stake, but I am thrilled to have got through."
Speedy's group marketing director Steve McIntyre said: "The standard of darts never ceases to amaze us, with the players again showing how strong the sport really is.
"We are really hoping for one or two upsets at the UK Open, and there's certainly no reason why they can't come from Dartford."
The Speedy Qualifiers are being held throughout April in Speedy stores across the UK, with further events to be staged in Inverness (April 11), Leeds (April 12), Stoke (April 13) and Cardiff (April 19), to be followed by an employee-only event in May in Haydock to determine the final eight players.
Former World Champion Mark Webster - a semi-finalist in the 2011 UK Open - is attending all seven qualifying events in his role as a Speedy Ambassador.
