PDC Ticket Update

TICKETS for the PDC's major tournaments remain hugely popular, as the culmination of the McCoy's Premier League Darts approaches.

A record aggregate attendance of around 95,000 fans is expected to make the 2012 Premier League Darts the most popular since the tournament was introduced in 2005.

The final league night at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle on Thursday May 10 has only a small number of tickets remaining, as the fight for places in the Play-Offs comes to a conclusion - with five players fighting for the remaining two places alongside Phil Taylor and Simon Whitlock.

Tickets for Week 14 in Newcastle can be purchased by calling 0844 493 6666 or visiting www.metroradioarena.co.uk.

The top four will then proceed to The O2 in London on Thursday May 17 to compete in the Play-Offs, with the semi-finals and final accompanied by the PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship Final between Michael van Gerwen and James Hubbard.

Less than 1,000 tickets for the Play-Offs remain, and can be purchased by calling 0844 856 0202 or by visiting www.theo2.co.uk.

Following the McCoy's Premier League Darts, attention turns to the summer's two major televised ranking tournaments, the Speedy Services UK Open and the World Matchplay.

Less than 500 tickets remain for the whole of the UK Open, which will be held in the Premier Suite at the De Vere Whites in Bolton from June 7-10, with the four-day event experiencing record demand.

The UK Open sees the leading professionals, following eight qualifying tournaments, joined by 64 amateur qualifiers to compete across eight stages simultaneously in the four-day tournament.

Tickets can still be purchased by calling 0844 871 8807 or by visiting the SeeTickets website to book online.

The World Matchplay, to be held from July 21-29 at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, has also proven hugely popular, with over 12,000 tickets sold for the nine-day event.

Tickets are still available by calling 0844 856 111 and can also be purchased online through the Ticketmaster website.

Tickets for October's PartyPoker.com World Grand Prix, to be held from October 8-14 at the Citywest Hotel, are also selling well for the double-start event.

Tickets can be purchased by calling 0844 871 8807 (UK), 0044 114 223 9817 (non-UK) or by booking online through SeeTickets.

Fans are also able to purchase weekend packages to see the Cash Converters Players Championship, which will be held at the Butlins Minehead Resort from November 30-December 2.

Packages, start from £129pp, which include tickets for all six sessions across three days as well as accommodation at the resort, and can be purchased by calling 0845 070 4735 or by visiting www.bigweekends.com/darts.

The PDC expect tickets for the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship to go on sale in June, with tickets for the William Hill Grand Slam of Darts likely to go on sale in late July.
