Austrian Darts Open - Final Qualifiers

BELGIAN World Cup finalist Ronny Huybrechts, Spain's Antonio Alcinas and Dutch ace Vincent van der Voort were amongst the European Qualifiers for the Austrian Darts Open, while Mensur Suljovic headed the five Host Nation Qualifiers who sealed their spots in the event.

The final qualifying places in the £100,000 European Tour event were decided in the European Qualifier and Host Nation Qualifier held at the Arena Nova in Wiener Neustadt on Thursday night.

Belgian star Ronny Huybrechts joined brother Kim in the main event as he won through the European Qualifier without dropping a leg against Benjamin Soeger and Claudio Monaldi.

Spanish ace Antonio Alcinas won through to his first European Tour event as he overcame Jordy Terburg and Robin Schulz.

Former UK Open champion Roland Scholten took out 109 in the deciding leg of his clash with Gino Vos to qualify, along with fellow Dutchmen Vincent van der Voort, Leon De Geus and Jelle Klaasen.

Tomas Seyler won the all-German decider with Andree Welge 6-1 to qualify alongside fellow countryman Bernd Roith.

Austrian number one Mensur Suljovic overcame his World Cup partner Maik Langendorf as he was one of the five Host Nation Qualifiers, alongside Christian Kallinger and newcomers Andreas Pur, Gunther Rimser and Erwin Freidl.

Play in the Austrian Darts Open first round commences at 1pm on Friday, with play being held across two stages at the Arena Nova.
