DAVE CHISNALL and Ross Smith have earned places in the William Hill Grand Slam of Darts next month.
Chisnall's run to the partypoker.com World Grand Prix final in Dublin last week has seen him secure a return to the Wolves Civic for the Sky Sports-televised event from November 9-17.
The St Helens ace has previously competed twice in the event, in 2010 and 2011 after qualifying by reaching the Lakeside Championship final before his switch to the PDC circuit.
Kent-born, Bolton-based Smith has earned a place in the Grand Slam of Darts after topping the PDC Unicorn Challenge Tour Order of Merit this year.
The 24-year-old won four Challenge Tour events this year, and will now make his debut in the Wolves Civic as a reward for topping the rankings ahead of Ben Ward, meaning that he joins World Youth Championship winner Michael Smith and runner-up Ricky Evans in Wolverhampton.
Their qualification takes the number of pre-qualified players for November's Grand Slam of Darts to 28, with only two PDC major tournaments - Championship League Darts and The Masters - remaining for the finalists to qualify.
Should less than four players win through from those two events, then the Grand Slam of Darts Wilcard Qualifier will take place on Monday November 4 in Wigan, with the remaining places to take the Wolves Civic field to 32 players on offer.
Entry to the William Hill Grand Slam of Darts Wildcard Qualifier is limited to 256 players and is available now, costing £30, through the PDC Online Entry System.
Players who have previously played in PDC events should login as usual through http://pdclive.servasport.com/login.html, with new players needing to first register their details at http://pdclive.servasport.com/register.html.
