PDC Development Tour Update

THE forthcoming PDC Development Tour weekends in Reading will be amended to feature just one tournament per day, with the PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship's Last 64 to be held on Saturday April 5 and a further weekend to be held in Coventry in May.

The PDC Unicorn Youth Tour and PDC Unicorn Challenge Tour season began in Wigan recently, when each day featured a double-header of tournaments played across 32 boards.

The next two planned weekends are set to be held on March 29-30 and April 5-6 at the Rivermead Centre in Reading.

With the Rivermead Centre only accommodating 16 cubicles and following the great interest in the opening weekend, only one event will now be held per day.

The additional two tournaments will now be held on May 17-18 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, when a double-header of tournaments will be held on 32 boards.

In addition, the staging of the Last 64 of the PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship will now be moved back from Friday April 4 to be played on Saturday April 5 in Reading, with the Youth Tour event to take place later that afternoon.

The PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship will play from the Last 64 down to the finalists in Reading, with the final taking place on Thursday May 22 during the Betway Premier League Darts Play-Offs at The O2 in London.
