THE automatic qualifiers for June's Austrian Darts Open European Tour event have been confirmed, ahead of the UK Qualifier in Wigan on Friday May 2.
The Austrian Darts Open will be held from June 20-22 at the Salzburg Arena, featuring 48 players competing for £100,000 in prize money.
The leading 16 players from the ProTour Order of Merit at the closing date for entries are seeded and come into the event at the second round, with the first round comprised of 32 qualifiers.
The 20 UK Qualifiers, to come from over 100 PDPA members competing in Friday's event in Wigan, will be joined by eight European Qualifiers and four Host Nation Qualifiers from Austria, who will complete the field on Thursday June 19.
The seeds are topped by World Champion Michael van Gerwen - who won last year's Austrian Darts Open as well as February's Dutch Darts Masters - while the year's other two European Tour winners, Gary Anderson and Phil Taylor, are also amongst the top four seeds alongside ever-consistent Brendan Dolan.
