Wales are World Cup favourites with BetVictor

Gerwyn Price (PDC Europe)

Wales are the 3/1 pre-tournament favourites to claim a first BetVictor World Cup of Darts title in Salzburg this weekend.

World number three Gerwyn Price will team up again with Jonny Clayton to represent Wales, having competed together for the past two years.

Wales have previously been the 2010 and 2017 finalists, but are the 3/1 favourites with BetVictor to scoop the title at the Salzburgarena.

Four-times winners England are the 7/2 second favourites as Michael Smith and Rob Cross bid to emulate former champions Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis in lifting the trophy.

Netherlands, another nation with four World Cup victories to their name, are the 4/1 third favourite as Michael van Gerwen and Danny Noppert team up this weekend.

Reigning champions Scotland, this year represented by John Henderson and Robert Thornton, are 22/1 to retain the title alongside debutants Portugal.

Host nation Austria are joined by Germany as 12/1 chances, while former finalists Australia are 16/1 to claim a first World Cup success as Simon Whitlock is partnered by Damon Heta for the first time.
