RAYMOND VAN BARNEVELD defeated Phil Taylor 3-0 in Monday's Keukenconcurrent Masters of Darts, while Peter Manley and Mervyn King remain unbeaten.
In the first meeting between Taylor and van Barneveld since the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship final last month, this time it was the Dutchman - who came from 3-0 down at the Circus Tavern to win 7-6 - who took the early advantage.
Van Barneveld went on to take his first win of the tournament, following losses to Peter Manley and Mervyn King on the first two nights.
The defeat leaves 13-time World Champion and England captain Taylor bottom of his country's group following only one win in three games, after further successes for his team-mates on Monday.
King and Manley took wins over Vincent van der Voort and Jelle Klaasen respectively to maintain their 100 percent records, with Manley edging out the former Lakeside champion in a deciding set.
King took only 20 minutes in defeating van der Voort 3-0, dropping just one leg in the match.
Colin Lloyd produced another top notch display to see off Michael van Gerwen in a tie break which went all the way to a sudden death 11th leg in the fifth set.
Lloyd averaged almost 106 and hit 11 maximums in a match for the second time in the tournament to see off the teenager, who had a 101-plus average and took out a 164 finish as well as a crucial 130.
Wayne Mardle joined Lloyd on two wins with a 3-0 victory over Roland Scholten, which leaves the Dutchman, along with van der Voort, bottom of his group without a victory.
