RAYMOND VAN BARNEVELD and James Wade - who hit a nine dart leg - are among the eight players to qualify for the second day of the Budweiser UK Open North-West Regional Final.
Wade secured his perfect game in the opening leg of his final match of the day, against John Part, which he won in impressive style.
The 5-1 triumph also included a 12-dart leg and three 13-darters at the Gorse Hill.
Dutch star van Barneveld stared defeat in the face during his run to the quarter-finals, seeing Bob Anderson come from 3-1 down before the veteran star missed eight darts for the match in the deciding leg.
He went on to defeat Colin Lloyd 5-2 in their final game at the Bent Brook, with St Helens' Alan Tabern the other qualifier from that venue after his 5-1 win over Terry Jenkins.
Peter Manley and Andrew Hamilton came through the event at the Romiley Arms, while Steve Maish and Robbie Green qualified from the Royal Oak.
The second qualifier from the Gorse Hill was Owen Caffrey, who overcame Matt Clark in the decider.
