Bolton Wins Kiwi Title

ALAN BOLTON has won the New Zealand National Championship, to earn a place in the 2008 Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship.

Bolton, from Woolston, near Christchurch on the South Island of New Zealand, battled through from 242 entrants to the tournament.

He defeated Wayne Carey in the final and took out the 2006 Clubs New Zealand National Champion Warren French in the semis.

Experienced Kiwi player Barry Whittaker lost to Carey in the other semi-final.

Bolton will now emulate French and Warren Parry in representing New Zealand at the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship this December.
