European Events Rescheduled

THE schedule of PDC tournaments in Europe next year has been amended.

The German Darts Championship in January will be changed from a three-day tournament to be a pair of Players Championship events staged on the weekend of January 29 & 30 at the Gerry Weber Centre in Halle.

The planned weekend of PDC ProTour events in Gladbeck in March will now be postponed, and instead host the Players Championships in October.

The changes have been made to comply with a request from the PDC's German broadcast partner, who are in talks to stage a major televised event in Germany in the summer of 2011.

To clarify, the PDC tournaments in Europe in 2011 will be:
January 29 - Players Championship 1 (Halle)
January 30 - Players Championship 2 (Halle)
May 14 - Players Championship 7 (Vienna)
May 15 - Players Championship 8 (Vienna)
June 18 - Players Championship 13 (Nuland)
June 19 - Players Championship 14 (Nuland)
July 28-31 - European Championship (Dusseldorf)
September 17 - Players Championship 19 (Nuland)
September 18 - Players Championship 20 (Nuland)
October 22 - Players Championship 24 (Gladbeck)
October 23 - Players Championship 25 (Gladbeck)
October 29 - Players Championship 26 (Benidorm)
October 30 - Players Championship 27 (Benidorm)

The two events in Benidorm will represent the PDC ProTour's first visit to Spain, and will be held at the Melia Benidorm.

Spectator information for the above events will be available at www.pdc-europe.net.
