Huge Turnout For Qualifiers

OVER 3,500 players will compete in the Rileys Amateur Qualifiers for the 2010 UK Open.

The free-to-enter knockouts will be held in Rileys Darts Zones over the next month, and played in two stages as players bid to win one of 32 places in the UK Open finals at Bolton in June alongside the world's top professionals.

The Preliminary Rounds will be held on April 10 & 11 across 20 venues around the UK.

Due to the large number of entrants at certain Rileys clubs, 12 of the venues will split the Preliminary Round across two sessions, starting at 12pm and 6pm respectively.

All players have been posted confirmation of their knockout, start time and further details, which should be received by Thursday April 8. Each letter of confirmation has a unique entrant number and must be taken to the venue for the Preliminary Round.

Any players who still have queries after receiving these details should call the Rileys Amateur Qualifiers helpline on 0191 251 0255.

In addition, all entrants who provided an email address would have received an email to confirm their entry previously.

At each knockout in the Preliminary Round stage, the last 32 then return for the Regional Finals at a later date to compete for the places in the UK Open televised finals.

At the 12 venues where the Preliminary Round is split, 32 players from each session will progress to the Regional Final. These venues will then host two Regional Finals, with the winner of each Regional Final qualifying for the UK Open finals in Bolton.

The other eight venues will provide one qualifier for the UK Open in Bolton.
