PHIL TAYLOR completed a Newport double with a 2-1 win over Adrian Lewis to take the UK Open Welsh Regional Final on Sunday.
Taylor had already picked up £5,000 for winning Saturday's PDPA Players Championship - and the £4,000 prize for winning the first Regional Final effectively booked his berth in the UK Open televised finals next June.
On his way to the final, Taylor again produced some brilliant darts and repeated his win over Dennis Priestley of 24 hours previous as well as despatching Colin Lloyd 3-1, 3-1 in the semis.
He then overcame Lewis in three sets in the final, taking the opening set without reply, including a 13-darter to break his opponent's throw in the second leg.
Lewis edged the second set 3-2, despite a 141 finish for a 12-darter from Taylor, to take the game into a decider.
But the 13-time World Champion stepped up a gear, taking the opening leg in 17 darts, the second against the throw in 14 darts and the third in style.
Scores of 100, 123 and 140 set up a 138 finish, which he coolly took out to claim the title.
Lewis had earlier come from 3-1 down to defeat John Kuczynski but hit top form in his semi-final against Raymond van Barneveld.
He dropped just one leg against the Dutchman, winning the first set without reply and the second 3-1 to move into the final.
Van Barneveld survived a scare to edge his quarter-final against Terry Jenkins, who missed four darts to defeat the Dutchman.
American Kuczynski enjoyed a fine run to the last 16, defeating John Part and Andy Jenkins during the event.
