Stan James' Betting Preview

STAN JAMES give a look at their top prices ahead of the StanJames.com World Matchplay.

The 17th World Matchplay takes place at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool on Saturday, and will be played from July 17-25 at the Winter Gardens.

Tournament sponsors StanJames.com will be offering betting at the venue during the tournament, as well as during the event at www.stanjames.com or through 0800 211 222.

Stan James make Phil Taylor the 4/9 favourite for the, with the Stoke legend having won a tenth World Matchplay last summer as well as the Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts and Rileys Darts Zones UK Open in the past two months.

"There are some mouth-watering first round clashes to look forward to at Blackpool, but once again the tournament boils down to one question: can anyone stop Phil Taylor from gaining his 11th win in the event?" said Stan James Head of PR Charlie McCann.

"Phil produced the first Sky Sports-televised nine-darter in 2002 but, surprisingly, there has not been one at the Winter Gardens since that date and we bet 4/7 that we do not witness a nine-darter in 2010.

"However, with him producing two in the Premier League Darts final against James Wade recently, the odds of 50/1 for there to be three or more might attract support."

The StanJames.com World Matchplay is being held from July 17-25 at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool. Limited tickets are still available on 0844 856 1111.
