THE knockout phase of the Topic International Darts League begins on Friday night with the quarter-finals of the tournament in Nijmegen.
The game of the night sees two Dutch stars come head to head, with four-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld taking on 17-year-old wonderkid Michael van Gerwen.
The teenager has earned rave reviews in Holland this week, after averaging over 105 in his wins over Martin Adams and Tony O'Shea, in addition to his recent Open Holland triumph.
The night's opening game sees world number one Colin Lloyd, who has been revitalised since booking his place in the Holsten Premier League play-offs, face Ted Hankey.
Another Dutchman, Roland Scholten, meets Adams in the third game of the evening, with 13-time World Champion Phil Taylor clashing with Australian Simon Whitlock at the end of the evening.
Taylor suffered his first defeat of the tournament on Thursday, going down 7-6 to Jelle Klaasen in the final group match of the second round.
