Sky Bet World Grand Prix Second Round

PHIL TAYLOR produced a clinical display to end Andy Jenkins' hopes at the Sky Bet World Grand Prix with a 3-0 win.

Taylor brushed off Joe Collins in the first round and dropped just two legs in a straight sets second round win.

The five-time World Grand Prix champion was not troubled in the opening two legs and took the opening two sets 3-1.

He then hit top gear in the third set to wrap up the win without response from Jenkins.

"A couple of times I missed getting in and then I would hit a big shot the next time," said Taylor. "Andy missed a crucial double at the wrong time which let me in.

"Tomorrow's another day and I can relax a bit now because I have got a bigger format. I'm just going to enjoy it, I've got nothing to prove to anyone.

"This tournament is so difficult and if you can win this you have a good chance of winning the World Championship. This is the one I really want to win now."
