James Wade and wife Samantha were guests a Buckingham Palace Garden Party this week following an invitation from King Charles.
The PDC star received an invitation in recognition of his contribution to the community, having done extensive charity work supporting Bipolar UK alongside his darting career.
Wade has been an ambassador for Bipolar UK since 2016, inspiring others and spreading awareness about bipolar whilst continuing to compete at the top level.
The former World Matchplay and Premier League champion has enjoyed a distinguished career in the sport so far, having also won three UK Open titles in as many decades and the World Grand Prix on two occasions.
Wade has described the Garden Party as "a day to remember" and "an honour and a privilege".
Wade will host a celebrity fundraising day for Bipolar UK on Friday August 22 at Old Thorns Resort & Hotel in Hampshire.
The "Let's Talk Bipolar" event will include "An Audience With Stars" ahead of a gala dinner that evening.
