
MENSUR SULJOVIC'S maiden televised triumph at the Unibet Champions League of Darts was met with an incredible reaction on social media on Sunday night.
The Austrian star defeated Gary Anderson to cap his Champions League debut by claiming the £100,000 title - emotionally lifting the trophy at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff live on BBC Sport.
Suljovic's success was hailed by both his fellow professionals as well as leading personalities on Twitter - including Stephen Fry, who has almost 13 million followers.
Over 3,500 tweets were made in the UK in the hours following Suljovic's success, showing the world number seven's growing popularity in the sport.
