THE Rileys Amateur Qualifiers for the UK Open will be held in April in 32 Rileys Darts Zones around the UK.
Amateur darts players will get the chance to win a spot in the UK Open Televised Finals, to be held at Bolton's Reebok Stadium from June 2-5, through the Rileys Qualifiers.
A total of 32 Rileys Darts Zones will host knockout qualifiers during April, with the winner from each progressing to play in Bolton - where they will compete for the £40,000 first prize live on Sky Sports HD.
The Rileys Qualifiers will also win £100 worth of Rileys Vouchers plus a personalised shirt to compete in at the UK Open in June.
Last year, Milton Keynes' Paul Warwick won through to the last 16 in Bolton, losing 9-8 at that stage to Kevin McDine but picking up £2,000 prize money following wins over fellow Rileys Qualifier Henry Murphy, Steve Farmer and Co Stompe.
Professional players on the PDC ProTour will compete in a series of eight qualifying events over the next three months in a bid to finish in the top 96 of the UK Open Order of Merit and earn a place in Bolton for 'The FA Cup of Darts'.
The first two qualifiers - which are also worth £35,000 each in prize money - will be held in Barnsley this weekend, featuring 147 players.
Entries for the Rileys Qualifiers are now being taken through www.rileys.co.uk/tournaments and will close on March 31.
Entry costs £5 per event before March 13 and £10 per event from March 14-31. Players are allowed to enter more than one Rileys Qualifier but cannot play in any further events if they qualify.
