PDC Issue Two Bans

FOLLOWING an incident where a spectator attempted to enter the stage during the Speedy Services UK Open final, the PDC have banned two fans from PDC events for five and three years respectively.

During the final between Robert Thornton and Phil Taylor in the Premier Suite at the De Vere Whites in Bolton on Sunday June 10, one spectator attempted to jump onto the stage by launching himself over a safety barrier.

This action threatened the safety of players, event staff and other spectators, and the offender was subsequently ejected from the venue.

The PDC have now issued this spectator with a five-year ban from attending PDC tournaments.

A three-year ban has also been applied to the person who purchased tickets for the group which included the above offender, for contravention of the Terms & Conditions of ticket sales.
