Heta Secures Double World Series Qualification

AUSTRALIAN ace Damon Heta enjoyed a double success with qualification for the PDC World Series of Darts events in Melbourne and Brisbane next month.

Heta came through the DartPlayers Australia knockouts in Warilla on Sunday to ensure his return to the TV stage, having previously competed in the 2014 Sydney Darts Masters and 2016 Auckland Darts Masters.

A former DPA Australian Singles champion, Perth's Heta denied 2018 World Championship qualifier Gordon Mathers a place in the Melbourne event with a 6-4 victory in their final.

Heta then denied experienced star David Platt in the final of the Brisbane Darts Masters qualifier with a 6-3 win to complete a super Sunday's work.

The remaining three places in each of the Melbourne Darts Masters and Brisbane Darts Masters will be confirmed from Monday to Wednesday with three double-header qualifiers in Warilla.
