So far...
The Whyte & Mackay Premier League is really starting to hot up now - Mervyn King heads it after another good win against John Part but at the bottom it's Raymond van Barneveld.

We never thought we'd see Barney at the bottom of any league but he is sitting right at the foot of this one.

That's because he was 4-1 up against James Wade last week and then Wade rolled of seven legs on the trot of over 120 average - a blistering performance and we're all hoping we've got the real James Wade back.

Another great performance last week was Terry Jenkins getting a draw against Phil Taylor.

Jenkins now has the best record against Taylor in all the Premier League and it looks like he is coming into form after a gutsy performance against The Power.

Onto the games...
John Part v Wayne Mardle
Both players need a win and need to start putting points on the board.

Mardle beat Jelle Klaasen last week but I think Part's going to take it this week.

The Canadian is showing signs of coming back to the form that made him world champion, doesn't make too many mistakes.

Last week against Mervyn King the league leader didn't give him any chances as he's playing so well, but this week I think Part will beat Mardle 8-4/5.

Boylesports odds: Part 23/20, Mardle 7/5, Draw 4/1

Mervyn King v Jelle Klaasen
Klaasen is a fast thrower and it's really hard to gain consistency when you throw that fast, and I think King will jump on that this week.

He likes these big crowds now and he really plays up to it and he's playing probably the best darts that I've seen Mervyn King play.

He is 1/2 on and if you are a big punter, I think that's as sure as it get.

Boylesports odds: King 1/2, Klaasen 3/1, Draw 5/1

James Wade v Phil Taylor
This could be a great game if James Wade turns up with the game he finished off Raymond van Barneveld with last week - that 120 average over seven legs was unbelievable.

We know what Phil Taylor is going to turn up, we know that he's going to shoot over 100 average.

Can James Wade turn up with the game? If he does I can see a draw, if he doesn't and he slips up a bit, Taylor won't let him off and he'll beat him about 8-4.

Boylesports odds: Wade 11/2, Taylor 3/10, Draw 11/2

Terry Jenkins v Raymond van Barneveld
Raymond van Barneveld has to start putting some points on the board - bottom of the league and you don't see him there very often.

A great gutsy performance from Terry Jenkins got him a draw against Phil Taylor although he was 4-2 down at the break, then got back to 6-4 up so perhaps from there he should've gone on to win the game but no-one does that easily against Taylor.

This game could end up as a draw but I see Jenkins as the value of the evening at 5/2 with Boylesports, that has got to be the value after his performance against Taylor in Coventry.

Boylesports odds: Jenkins 5/2, van Barneveld 8/13, Draw 9/2
