Lim & Suzuki win William Hill World Championship places

Paul Lim and Toru Suzuki have won the final PDC Asian Tour Qualifiers for the William Hill World Darts Championship to secure Alexandra Palace spots next month.

Legendary star Lim will compete in his 24th World Championship in a run spanning back to 1982 after winning the Hong Kong Qualifier on Sunday.

The 66-year-old defeated Hong Kong's emerging talent Lee Lok Yin 7-5 in the final to ensure his fourth successive Alexandra Palace appearance.

Suzuki, meanwhile, won the Japanese Qualifier on Sunday to secure his place in a first World Championship.

Toru Suzuki (PDC Asia)The 33-year-old from Yamanashi was a 5-3 winner against Kota Suzuki in the final, having also defeated Tomoya Goto and Shin Higashida in the latter stages.

Lim and Suzuki join Philippines' Lourence Ilagan and China's Di Zhuang in securing places at Alexandra Palace, with four knockout qualifiers being staged in the absence of a PDC Asian Tour in 2020.
