Luke Humphries hailed his comeback victory over Rowby-John Rodriguez as the greatest win of his career, after scooping the European Darts Matchplay title in a thrilling finale in Trier on Sunday.

Luke Humphries claimed a remarkable fourth European Tour title of 2022 with a pulsating 8-7 victory over Rowby-John Rodriguez.

Dimitri Van den Bergh continued his run of form with an impressive second round win at the Interwetten European Darts Matchplay on Saturday, as ten seeds were eliminated in Trier.

Rowby-John Rodriguez dumped out Danny Noppert in a dramatic deciding-leg on the opening night of the Interwetten European Darts Matchplay in Trier, to set up a second round showdown against top seed Gerwyn Price.

Gerwyn Price will take on either UK Open champion Danny Noppert or Rowby-John Rodriguez in the second round of the Interwetten European Darts Matchplay, with the draw and schedule of play for this weekend’s European Tour event now confirmed.

Player entries have been confirmed for Players Championship events 18-21, along with European Tour 10-11 seeds.

The Grand Slam of Darts will return to Wolverhampton in 2022, following confirmation of November's PDC schedule.
