SCOTLAND overcame a scare against New Zealand in the Betway World Cup of Darts before claiming a 5-3 win to begin their challenge in Germany as pre-tournament favourites Netherlands edged past Russia.

The 2020 World Cup of Darts will be held from June 18-21 at the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany.

The tournament sees the top two players from 32 nations competing in both doubles and singles matches.
