talkSPORT will continue their award-shortlisted coverage of PDC events for at least the next two years under a new broadcast agreement.

The deal will see talkSPORT 2 continue live commentary of the William Hill World Darts Championship and Betfred World Matchplay for the next two years.

In addition, talkSPORT will provide updates from other PDC televised events including the Grand Slam of Darts and World Grand Prix.

talkSPORT 2 has previously aired award-shortlisted coverage from the World Darts Championship over the past four years as well as from the World Matchplay in 2018 and 2021.

"talkSPORT's live commentaries have proven extremely popular in recent years and we're delighted to continue our partnership with them through to 2023," said PDC Chief Executive Matt Porter.

"This exclusive coverage will broaden the reach of PDC events, including the William Hill World Darts Championship and Betfred World Matchplay, even further during an exciting time for the sport."

Head of talkSPORT, Lee Clayton said: "The World Darts Championship and World Matchplay are iconic events and are both hugely popular with the PDC's loyal legion of fans.

"At talkSPORT, everything we do is powered by fans and our coverage of these first-class PDC events will capture all the drama from the oche and the legendary atmosphere from the arenas."

The 2021/22 William Hill World Darts Championship will be staged from December 15-January 3 at London's Alexandra Palace, featuring a 96-player field who will be playing to win the Sid Waddell Trophy and £2.5 million in prize money.

The 2022 Betfred World Matchplay will take place from July 16-24 at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, as 32 players compete to win the Phil Taylor Trophy.
